There is much to write about this type of activity patented in 2003 along with three other patents related to associated activities.
The principle used is the "VENTURI" effect with special measures that transform a chimney into a wind energy production system.
The system is based on the differential of the atmospheric gradient between the ground and the height of the chimney. In fact, the atmospheric pressure found at the opening of the chimney mouth is lower than the atmospheric pressure at ground level. At this point, the ground-level atmosphere pushes the air into the mouth of the chimney, which, falling inside it, returns to the ground. The heat captured by the greenhouse built around the chimney further pushes the air upwards. At the ground-level mouths there are some generators with wind turbines and that's it.
In 1998, a prototype was built in Manzanares, Spain, and in 2011, despite the presence of our entirely Italian patent, a plant was built in Mongolia that is still producing today. In 2004 in New York, BankAmerica built inside its new headquarters in a 305-meter-high skyscraper, a chimney that produces 6,400 KW per hour.
The patent for this invention is signed by Dr. Angelo Comandù and Eng. Giovanni Battista Bonomi.
