M.V.C. - CONTROLLED MECHANICAL VENTILATION
When we say V.M.C. - acronym for: Controlled Mechanical Ventilation, we think of air exchange in a room. This is not entirely correct.
It is true that we are talking about air exchange in a room or various rooms, an office, a home, etc., but it is better to clearly understand what V.M.C. is.
V.M.C. is a system that replaces the indoor air of a room which, as is now well known, is often worse than the outdoor air due to fumes, cooking vapors that cause mold and odors, etc. Such conditions require airing these spaces by opening the windows.
The fact remains that, by opening the windows in winter, we let heat escape, while in summer we waste the coolness produced by the air conditioning system. So? How can we avoid all this?
The V.M.C. system, Controlled Mechanical Ventilation, combines air exchange with the outside and energy savings.
The system exchanges air 24 hours a day without the need to open windows, draws in outside air, preheats or precools it thanks to heat exchangers, allowing significant energy savings.
These systems increase the energy class of our home with an economic added value and, in addition, the law allows us to have a tax deduction equal to 65% of the expenses incurred by permanently closing the methane gas meter.
To help with the investment, it is advisable to also install a photovoltaic system which, by producing electricity, supports these systems.
Normally, the payback period for the financial investment in these devices is five years.
